Here is a little background

Hi, I’m Vu Hoang, a Computer Science junior at Troy University, with a strong focus on web development, data engineering, and AI. Currently, I am an intern at ISODS focusing on Data and AI, particularly on NLP. In addition to my internship, I’m expanding my expertise through hands-on projects and certifications in Software Engineer, Data Science and Machine Learning. I also previously contributed to GDG-HUST by helping build a community-driven website. I’m passionate about exploring innovative ideas and am always open to connecting with others in the field.

• Co-developed the homepage for a community of 100+ members across campus using Next.js, TailwindCSS, Shadcn, and AOS, enhancing visibility and boosting engagement by 20%.
• Collaborated to design wireframes and prototypes during a hackathon, contributing to a scalable web project on enhancing educational access.
• Conducted a tech-sharing session on Three.js, demonstrating its capabilities and applications in interactive 3D web experiences.

Vietnamese Legal Document Crawler, Vector Database, and Semantic Search Tools

Built an automated tool using BeautifulSoup, Selenium, and multiprocessing to extract and organize legal documents (full text, history, related, property, and PDFs), implemented a ChromaDB vector database leveraging the BKAI Vietnamese Bi Encoder model and Pyvi for efficient embedding and retrieval, and enhanced semantic search with LangChain to handle special cases for improved legal document retrieval accuracy

Assistant Chatbot Website

Developed a full stack AI chatbot using Python and FastAPI, integrating OpenAI’s ChatGPT models for natural language understanding and generation, also image generation capabilities using OpenAI’s DALL·E API
